Say It With A Smile
Join Our Summer Card-Making Challenge Supporting Smiles for Miles
A simple smile can brighten a day, spark a connection, and remind someone they are not forgotten.
Beginning June 1, 2026, Forgotten Wishes Foundation is excited to launch our newest card-making challenge, Say It With a Smile!, as part of our summer Smiles for Miles Fundraiser benefiting the Forgotten Wishes’ program, the Forget-Me-Not Friends Club.
This cheerful volunteer activity invites individuals, families, schools, community groups, and corporate teams to create handmade greeting cards decorated with smiley faces, happy emojis, sunshine, and uplifting designs for people with disabilities across the United States.
Our Forget-Me-Not Friends Club members receive friendship through the mail all year long, and every handmade card helps create moments of joy, belonging, and connection. They call this their “Happy Mail”.
The best part? This project is simple, fun, and easy for everyone to participate in — whether hosting an in-person Card Party, setting up a workplace volunteer station, or gathering virtually with friends and coworkers.
No artistic experience is needed. Just grab some markers, stickers, 5×7 blank greeting cards, and a little creativity!

Why This Matters
Through the Forget-Me-Not Friends Club, Forgotten Wishes Foundation works to reduce loneliness and create connections for individuals living with disabilities, such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Down Syndrome, FASD, mental health conditions, and other visible and invisible disabilities. It is open to people of any age across the country, and registration is free on our website.
For our Club Members, receiving a handmade card is more than mail — it is a reminder that someone remembered them, cared about them, and took the time to reach out.
Every smile shared truly travels for miles.
Thank you for helping us spread joy, friendship, and belonging — one card at a time, because we believe no one should ever feel forgotten.
